Democrats are frauds & liars. They've been campaigning on their "tax the rich" slogan forever, because low-information voters fall for the bullshit every time. Truth is, if there really was a priority to "tax the rich," the Demwads would simply roll forward on legislation that would eliminate all those "loopholes" that rich people like Nancy Pelosi thrive on.
Do the math -- there just isn't that many "rich" people to go after. The bulk of America is made up of "schlubs," and the mechanism was already put into place to screw with the schlubs when the Democrats passed recent legislation to burden businesses like Etsy & Ebay to swamp Americans with millions of 1099s that are now triggered by a measly $600 whatever. When you consider that most schlubs don't have CPA's or accountants to represent them, the low-hanging fruit becomes to easy to ignore, and Biden's new enforcement team is being tasked to inundate the schlubs with audits that are designed to find mistakes in reporting that lead to windfall penalties & interests payments.
