The day you pray for pool requests

You have thirty minutes before the end of the guarantee period of 4 hrs. And you have 4 trips, but need 2 more... this is the second time this week that I am not meeting the quota.

I've driven through areas I normally hidefrom due to the overwhelming requests I receive. NoTHING! Wtf? I give up. Going home early.

The day I pray for pools is the day I quit.

Today.:)

Lol. I hear ya. I was two rides short with 40 minutes left this morning when I got a matched Pool ride in the suburbs, no less. I took it and was happy but now I feel so dirty.

I said the same thing on another thread the other day. It feels crazy to want pool requests but the payoff can be huge. This week they helped me hit the guarantee 2 out of 3 days.

I paid a rider today who was a uber driver also so I can get 2 trips in final 10 mins.

Drove around downtown for 40 mins no pings

Uber has been known to "disallow" repeat trip requests from the same account as counting toward the ride qoutas. Their anti-fraud algos see this for the hustle it is. They can also detect "related" accounts and other regular riders that one uses to hit qoutas. Not saying they're sic'ing the FBI on you, but they do permanently deactivate drivers if they detect fraud/abuse.

Now one may have reached the point of maximum, jdgafa, so I'm just saying. Don't be surprised if one receives a strongly worded email. Otherwise, hustle er I mean guber on!
Yesterday was packed with drivers. Did 6 hours with 6 trips and didn't drive for about 3 hours.
That makes no sense will iam

Have you ever dropped a passanger off and he/she says wait can you take me somewhere else after I can something ?

You turned the app off. What do you do? You ask the rider to request again

Shush!

Actually he is right, but it only happens when drivers clearly are gaming the system. I have had plenty of times that I waited for riders to fill prescriptions, or run into a store, or whatever and then reorder me and have it count for the guarantee. If it's legit you are fine, but don't expect to get away with it for long if not.

It's in the fine print. Read it for yourself. They reserve the right to disallow repeat requests. Some percentage of these are undoubtedly legitimate and some are not. I'm not judging. But the mothership will. One can game the guber on occasion. Done too frequently and the account starts to trip red flags. A friendly warning to all. Do what one will, I could care less.
Load up your hiding on the back end, drive on the front end. I've usually had 6 rides by the end of my first two hours, then I hide for the third and fourth.

For me the rides are not hard, it's the acceptance. I get hit by the "hell no, I won't go" pings. Last time I drove I was getting pings from 20-30 min away telling me to head to Ohare. I don't even carry the airport placard in the car. Three of those in a row and I went from being on the verge of making $70 in guarantee to $14 dollars. I even tried shutting off the app and driving 10 min further away.

I was pretty pissed, but I guess that's what I get for gaming the system. Sometimes you lose the game. Speaking of, I need a link to the airport placard and the rules for where to post everything. I guess I should have put all that crap in my glovebox just to be safe.

You are so right, drive on the front end. I've lost a few nights of driving by gambling on getting the trips I needed by the end of the evening. Tonight I'm going to start at 3 pm to catch the 3pm to midnight guarantee before I go out of town for the 4th of July weekend. I'll start downtown to catch some trips to Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wrigleyville which are usually short so I can head closer to home early in the evening to dodge pings. I have to eat about 30 minutes of guarantee time to get home, though
