Being able to drive anywhere in a wide area (all of DC, parts of PG and montgomery and Alex and Arlington) and get 2.0x and even 2.4x on any ride, with no sure chasing!!!. Easily making $1,000+ week, seems its all coming to an end. Folks make 95 trips to get Platinum level, and now you only get rewarded in ONE measly small reward area. Even if you would get decent length trips, you would always be out that reward zone, and have to dead mile it back.

The normal reward zone is still there, but only 1.2x boost, seriously????????????

Heavy Metal Program R.I.P.!!!!

But what are yall doing? taking 80 trips at 1.2x,and 15 trips at 2.0x ??? (too keep platinum status).

I'm of course talking about trip boost, do good times still live on: are they still offering $40/$50 on hourly metal program?

The Heavy Metal Programme was never put in place out of Uber's generosity. It was put in place as a way to motivate drivers to go out and drive again. Uber will have no choice but to bring it back as August ends and September begins. Why? Because we will see what happened in May, repeat itself again. Endemically, systemically, nothing is solved, the basic economics of supply and demand will rear their ugly heads and the drivers will quit all over again, and the monster surges will be back again. We will see another iteration of the Heavy Metal Programme before we know it. It's either that, or pax not getting picked up..

But drivers won't drive if they are making half of what they used to. And there are not enough Stool Pidgeons out there to fulfill demand. It takes all drivers doing their maximum just to keep supply and demand balanced.
Uber believes you will drive more,to keep the cash you have acquired a taste for flowing.

This is Platinum midday. You gotta be shitting me. THAT is it?

So glad I don't do daytime. Interesting to see how bad surge is outside that zone.

sheesh 1.5x is a lot these days lol. Uber has basically made 1.2x the normal for all levels
so how are you going to sustain platinum for next week? during the day they not even offering 1.2x outside of those 2 small sectors

So basically, it will come down to drivers not being able to afford to drive. Cars need to be maintained, gas tanks need to be filled, and drivers have rent to pay and have to buy food to live. All hidden conditionals of being a driver.
We need to send T.K. an Algorithm of the facts of life.

The shame of it all,on his behalf, is it was never needed to sink this low.

What is wrong with Uber management ?

Have they no sense ?

It's like flying a perfectly good plane at the ground, and not pulling up in time to avoid damages.

Will he crash Uber into a total loss?
