the $600 dollars is from the federal government. If you qualify for unemployment you will receive unemployment + $600 a week automatically
Lol..I don't know why this $600 part is so hard to understand by many. It's just something EXTRA you get (for 16 weeks) from the feds on top of whatever you get from the state.

Guys sorry for asking this but for me it's hard to understand because my English is not good. So basically.

1. I know everybody it's getting a check of +- 1200 from the government if I had child +500

2. we are getting+- 600 from state apply to unemployment insurance in http://labor.ny.gov/signin

So I read something about a federal help weekly, how do I apply for this or I'm wrong and it's only this help ??? Thanks for your information

If you get approved from state insurance you will automatically get the 600 you do not have to do anything... If the state does not approve you then you have to apply for pandemic unemployment insurance.. If you get aproved for that you also do not have to do anything

Do think that there's chances to not getting approved for the pandemic unemployment insurance?

Why you guys keep saying 600$ it’s basically based on ur 2019 income so its coukd go down to 400$ week thats why im asking my questions was we will get 600 and apply for unemployment or the600 we r talking about is the unemployment checks. 🤦‍♂️

We do not know for sure, all we can do is to apply and wait for them to determine the amount

What you're talking about is the $1200 IRS stimulus check. There's no other $600 check. You, my friend are so confused. Just apply, relax and you'll get your money when the time comes.

A specificity is that we are all new to the system as applicants; they need a little more time to determine what we will get (getting the 1099s in, explaining to an agent why one had to ‘quit’ in the midst of a scary world-wide health crisis, etc), not to mention that in one week the volume of calls and online applicants jumped by a factor of 20-30!!!!!!
