So I am on my way home at 8 pm after a few excellent Juno rides at 100% surge in this rainstorm. I am on the LIE right past the woodhaven exit and the traffic is stop and go. I am in the far left lane. Ahead of me is a blue dodge dart. Ahead of it is a white C class. Ahead of that car is a white GLE benz. Behind me is a truck with a flatbed. Everything is going ok even though it is pouring heavily. For some strange reason I move into the middle lane. 20 seconds later in the left lane, there are sudden brake lights. The GLE stops. The c class and dart also stop in time but maybe somewhat abruptly. The flatbed who is now behind the dart cant stop in time. It hits the dart who hits the c class. The GLE is fine because it started moving again. I see this all unfold clearly. I stop for a second contemplating staying around as a witness but the rain was so real and I'm tired so I go home. That could have been me. Damn, rain + night = disaster. These apps don't pay us enough to risk driving in those conditions even with the surge. Stay safe guys. Just go home. It's not worth it.
