2 1099's or a 1099 and a 1099-k?

1099 is bonus money, hourly guarantees, etc...

1099-k is ride payments. You have to deduct the booking fees, airport fees, Uber fee, tolls, parking, and car expenses.......business mileage * 0.54, or actual expenses if you kept receipts and didn't keep a mileage log.
Meant 1099-k

with both 1099 and 1099-k Tax docs show I made $2500 more then what I actually made for the year.

Per mile deduction is 57.5 cents on the dollar.

incorrect. Lol how would you know!
Did Uber pay you cash under the table? That's how it's been for me since 2012. Uber sends you a 1099-k with the total revenue you collected for Uber. You have to figure out how much Uber deducted. It's quite easy if you kept track of the deposits. If you want to claim cash tips or have a credit card reader for tips that's up to you.

I'm not referring to deductions. I'm referring to how much Uber has stated they've paid me for the year. Stated I made 12500 and only made 10k.

I understand I can deduct my earnings. This isn't the issue.

I got a revised 1099-k. Check both of them. One may a revised version.
Both are different amounts. The 1099 is a much higher amount vs the 1099k is the smaller amount.
The difference in wages stated by Uber and actually received payments is $4k. Hard to believe $4k would come from booking fees. If that's the Case I'm not done working with Uber.

Does that sound right to you?

That was the 2015 rate -- 2016 is 54 cents
2017 is 0.575
2016 is 0.54
2017 is 0.535

Not only do the Uber rates drop every year, the mileage deduction goes down and our taxes up
Thank you gentlemen, I stand 100% corrected! Boy did I screw up my taxes.

I did recalculations though, and still more than zeroed out my uber pay.

The number it shows for a given week's earnings would also be the same as the deposits too wouldn't it? I just know that whatever the number it shows for that weeks earnings in the app is what gets deposited, so I thought maybe that would be an easy way to total what you got paid instead of looking through your bank account. I'm just not positive if the weeks earning number shown is sans referral bonus and that kind of thing, whereas the bank log will obviously tell you exactly how much Uber deposited with bonuses and all.
