As much of a deplorable assclown I usually am on here, let me be serious for a moment.

A HUGE thank you to all the police officers that may pop in here. A P.G. County officer, off-duty, lost his life helping save someone else.

Cops don't have an easy job. If you see an officer, take a moment to thank them for what they do. If you happen to be ahead of them at Chipotle or somewhere like that, and if you're able to financially, be a 'secret Santa' and anonymously buy their meal. It would mean a lot to them on a day like today.

The fart jokes and gifs will resume shortly.

The only thing it might have been begging for was a 'thank you for your service to all law enforcement'.

Seriously you need to chill
I happen to worked closed to law enforcemt and they got my outmost respect. I even have a few very Conservatives friends in the DC police dept but my respect for them is before politics.

I drove a half drunk cop and his wife home one night recently. Amazingly normal :)

I've always respected cops even in those moments I didn't like them. I'm amazed how little they make given what they have to do and given what constraints they work under (legal, constitutional, ethical, social).

My stepson likes to tell me about the Russian cops. Not a bad lot, actually, but a handful of Rubles gets you out of most tickets.

But I think that was true in Chicago as late as the early 60's.

I know. I was trying to use you as an example for the other side. No offense intended or implied
