Yes, I would recommend that you not join. It's hard and getting worse. Gas prices are up and the rates haven't moved, and now surge is dropping off. There are so many new drivers, I can't wait until I'm done and working a real job. I'm being completely honest.

Is there any particular reason why there seems to be more drivers? I do have a day job, so just looking for weekend cash. I appreciate the feedback.

Uber makes it sound like you can make a lot of extra cash. It's summer, lot of college kids also driving. Just a whole lot of drivers out. I mean, give it a try and see what you think, but lately these forums have been a lot of complaints about money and not a whole lot of rides to go around. There are a lot of posts about what times and where to drive is the best. Good luck. Just don't be like some of the drivers on these forums. Took me only a few months to lose faith in humanity. Makes me sad.
