i had a huge fare taken out of paycheck. after some research i discovered a huge surge fare i got a few weekends ago when the bars were closing was completely refunded. i can understand if it would be adjusted if they complained about price, but all of it was refunded. I've tried multiple times emailing uber to two different emails i have. not one time have they responded, even though any other time i email them they respond immediately.
this is very frustrating . makes me nervous next time a i take a group home during a surge
Are you just emailing or using the help button via the actual trip? I always use the help button as it ties the request to the actual trip. This happened to me a few weeks ago. I submitted a help ticket, explained that I took the efficient route and this was a legit request.
Also, login to Uber via the web app. Locate the trip under trip history or your pay statement. Click the arrow and it should say something about the adjustment as shown below.
They hold large fares for at least a week, just in case Pax complains or there's a fraud issue. BUT you need to contact them, sometimes they conveniently forget.
i did not give wrong person a ride. i called them and talked to them on the phone until they found me on the street. i was watching the guy speak to me on his phone as he found me. they didn't hold funds. i got credited for ride right away and it was on the next paycheck. two paychecks later it was deducted from my earnings .
what i don't like is after 4 emails I've gotten no response at all. its like they're trying to ignore the issue . if i email uber about any other issue i get a response immediately
I agree with trying the face to face meeting (Thursdays now in East Hartford). They aren't particularly helpful, but at least you can get a name and return each week until it's cleared up. If Uber wants to refund/discount a fare that's their business, but they have no right to force you to eat it.
