Reservations used to last seconds before being scooped up they now last hours. These rides don't even make sense if you live next door and are going to the same place at that time it's so comical. Some of us have principals.

I am seeing different activity in my market, the opposite. Mine used to last for several minutes and sometimes hours, and now they only last seconds, and I actually hate it that way.

I liked it better when I had time to actually look at the requests. Now, I get the notification, and 9 times out of 10, it's gone before I can even pull it up.

You're right though. They have lost their value since now they essentially don't compensate us for the time/logistical commitment. They're no better than regular rides, and you basically almost have to commit an additional 30+ minutes to whatever the ride length is because of the shadow-ban effect prior.

Now I only take them if it is an early morning AM reservation ride from my area to the airport. And a ride from my preferred driving area (the beach) to the airport or closer to my home at a time I know I'd like to be heading back. The back-to-back short ride ones near the airport are useful also, but those are rare.

It’s the new program they rolled out called Uber Explore. They want you to go check out other areas for fun, because they care about your mental health.

Or it could have been that rehashed program called Uber Diverse. They want you to check out diverse areas for adventure, because they have disregard about your physical health.
