More unnecessary greed from a group of drivers.
The tv news stars from Brisbane make a guest appearance in a Sunshine Coast news story.
More deactivated drivers equals more work for the drivers that actually want to work to earn money and provide a quality experience to the passengers.Very good story from 7 news, love it...
Yes, I drove 1.5 km to a dude, took him 3 km further and drove back 1.5 km. It took 15 minutes and I earned $7.More deactivated drivers equals more work for the drivers that actually want to work to earn money and provide a quality experience to the passengers.
Was the drive back part of the job, or did you really do 4.5 Kl for the $7Yes, I drove 1.5 km to a dude, took him 3 km further and drove back 1.5 km. It took 15 minutes and I earned $7.
So, 6 km, 15 mins $7. What a fabulous job taking into account depreciation, GST, and tax into account.
Either Uber is discriminating, with Wrenn bypassing Uber's main algorithm and getting all the good jobs or Wrenn is pure nonesense.
Correct values: trip 3.5 km, 11 minsWas the drive back part of the job, or did you really do 4.5 Kl for the $7
Be better off parking near the gathering of people displayingSunshine coast without being able to check the waybill = non functional. Probably won't top $30/hr even on a Saturday, vs double that or more.
Demanding cash isn't the right solution
Buuuuut also, these guys were known for it even before cancellation deactivations was a thing. It's only a small handful of them tbf
I see it as Uber saying the drivers are dodgie & they aren’t. It’s a paid endorsementI love hearing the news call "dodgy rideshare providers" then "Uber" in the same breath. ❤
Finally they are reporting facts. 👍
With no massive spend with free to air ATM, FUber is getting far less heartwarming stories about flying cars, ways for Grannies to earn extra cash, (alleged) game changing services, etc like they previously did.
My how times have changed - for the better.
Solution is simple: Uber to update their platforms to meet minimum wages on ALL trips. Uber also to upgrade their algorithms to remove crazy surge prices and make it more affordable for all instead of giving surged prices to their selected drivers.
Uber is running a scam.
I'd say a flat multiplier at certain times would be betterSolution is simple: Uber to update their platforms to meet minimum wages on ALL trips. Small Handful - BS, more than what you think are dodgy as FK when they have young women in the car with them. If you cannot Crack $30/hr on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday, burn your car and get a real job, because you won't make it doing Uber.Sunshine coast without being able to check the waybill = non functional. No, it's a small handful, I drove up there for a couple years straight, knew exactly which drivers were doing it.Small Handful - BS, more than what you think are dodgy as FK when they have young women in the car with them. If you accept 25 minute away $7 Nambour jobs (which could easily be $60)... Or $7 ocean to 6th Ave via maccas... you're not cracking $30/hr. If you don't know how it works up there, even having worked it, take your own advice.
Haha this is what I'm talking about, you sound like a very new driver. Haven't learnt how it works yet. What Moron Accepts a Fare on the Sunshine Coast 25 minutes away, their are always fares that will pop up less than 10 minutes away rather than travelling 25 minutes for a Lucky Dip.
BTW - Silly question, what is a Waybill???Haha this is what I'm talking about, you sound like a very new driver. Haven't learnt how it works yet.
Nope, no guarantee that a 10 minute away or less trip will pop up, especially one worth doing - drove up there every single night for 2+ years straight.
25 minute away could be 29 minutes up the highway for $70. Especially when it's quiet. Or it randomly surges high. 2.5x could be $100+, could be $20 😂. Have to accept and check, or decline and make no money for an hour.
Oh, you're also unaware that you can see the value of the trip in the waybill. Now you know! It's not a lucky dip.
