If ya'll haven't done a presummer car inspection you better hope you're not next in line to be on the side of the road. Repair shops bump up prices during the summer, so get everything checked now.
Thanks, Wolfcreak, good advice. I am at the repair shop now. Came for my smog for $7.77, but am getting the works. He said I needed a 60,000 mile service and I had a belt that was suspect. Getting it all plus a synthetic oil change and the smog for $220 out the door. Again, great advice, I hope we all avoid the breakdown.

220 damn, I did my oil, synthetic, cabin filter, air filter and front brakes for less than that! 2015 equinox oh and gas treatment I feel sorry for you guys that con't or don't work on your car trusting those half ass mechanics. No body touches my cars and trucks and RV and boat except me. F that

Also, what do you mean getting it all? Most cars now a days don't really need anything till the 100k service and then only plugs besides fluids and filters of course.

Transmission flush - 129.99 at purrfect auto on sunset and Calle verde Corolla
If you read the factory manual for your car it's not healthy to flush the transmission. Simply drop the pan, drain what's there and clean the filter, replace fluid which will be about half of the fluid then do the other half on the next service. That will suffice. You can however flush the brake fluid every 30 to 40k miles.

Belts should be changed at 60K or so, batteries every 3/4 years and filters within a 100K. Plugs last 100K or more these days if ya get the expensive ones.

Some people believe to never touch the transmission fluid at all, I am one of those people. The abuse you put on your transmission working it, it needs that thick oil when you drop it and flush it and replace it with the new oil which is thin kills the tranissiom way before it was due.
