With no address and just a marker, I have seen many wrong locations shown! Once in a Graveyard on Rt 13 Bristol just south of 413 but marker was wrong location as rider was about 5 miles away (waited for them to cancel). Also have had a few people who didn't order their ride and were initially angry that I had called them to find them (on both Uber and Lyft)! When that has happened I always say contact Uber/Lyft immediately so that you won't get charged as I had believed their accounts were hacked somehow! Unfortunately for me I cancelled them right away and didn't get paid for it! I did screen shot one once but didn't bother to try to get paid for it since support is so difficult these days! Bryce I hope you remember to bring that Slugger Jr under the seat! lol

I wonder, just wonder, with the attention on ride share safety (attention which definitely comes and goes) if the case could be made that pick-ups need to be made at some type of physical locations. No clue how to do that but I've had highway pick-ups several times and of course no passenger there.

So its a lose lose for the driver.
  • Can't stop on the side of the interstate (or On Ramp, or bidge etc) for 5 minutes to wait out the clock and cancel. Minus $3.75
  • When the driver tries to pull over safely Uber tells the driver to "Drive Closer To PIck_up"
  • Driver can't reach pax. Minus $3.75
  • Pax calls with the famous "WTF Where are you????" Pax will not /can not update pin. Minus $3.75

I had one time at wildwood where the pin was showing the guy as right in the middle of the water in the harbor but I called him and he was at Wawa so I don't think that counts. I drove a guy from one end of Philly to the opposite end to take him to a Wawa that's next door to a strip club as if he's fooling anyone

I received a request between mid county and the kop exit on the Pa turnpike.. obviously an auto decline but it got me wondering if you all have better stories regarding strange locations you have been summoned to.
That request between Mid-county and KOP was probably from someone working at the westbound Service Plaza. You don't get on the TP for that pickup, you go in through the local entrance at the light in front of the Red Lobster on 202.

But my strangest pickup was the Indian gal who lives directly above me. I was LT camping from home and I got a Lyft ping from my complex. Turns-out, it was my upstairs neighbor.

Side of the freeway. 2x different times. No one there both times. Each time I thought it might be a distressed motorist by the help me call Box so I tried to do the right thing by driving a couple of miles to the closest call boxes from where the pin was what a waste of time.

And if you're picturing it no this isn't in the middle of no where with one car going by every few minutes it's in really busy Southern California with 6 lanes of traffic.
