This is weird. It was surging 1.6x on driver app, switched over to pax app and no notice of surge or confirmation of surge, yet the per minute rate was .24/minute. I saw it at .27/minute before I snagged a screen shot and it was surging at 1.8x.

I think Uber is eating the surge fees to please the pax and paying out the drivers at the surge rate. Thoughts? I've never seen this before, but then again I don't really toggle too often to confirm rates.

They have been hiding the surge from the pax for a couple of weeks from what I have observed. If you request an estimate it will reflect the surge pricing. and there is a sentence that notes the increased "demand" it also makes Pool look way cheaper.

The fact that it doesn't show the difference in the per mile price may be a glitch. Always check the waybill!
