Realisticly, how much money are you gonna make at a time like this? Demand wise... (please read on)

I know I been on this forum referring to the rates of drivers being insulting, (and they are) but this is beyond that, its plain and simply not safe to drive at this time.

Even if you think this whole corona virus is being blown out of proportion, it's just not worth it. Even if your young and healthy, think of your kids or parents.. and u being the one passing along this virus to them.

"Oh but I dont have kids, and my parents are all dead"..

Then think about you giving this virus to a passanger that has kids or older parents...

"Oh but I dont care"...

Shit then think about yourself!!!

Yea maybe YOU CAN go out and drive and nothing might happen.. yeah it's possible... but are you really gonna take that this risk... for what? We all know no one is getting rich of Lyft or Uber.

This is my 2 cents

I have nothing to loose so I'm driving. If you have family or older parents at home, Stay off the roads. If you're scared to drive stay home.

Why do you care?
Because I'm a human being with decency.

Rideshare drivers are gonna be among one of the largest spreaders of coronavirus.

Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out you shouldn't touch the kettle when its hot.

BUT YOU DO YOU, if making $30 -$50 in a 8 hour shift while risking your life and others is no concern to you.. then hey, you do you.

It's an individual choice, both for drivers and riders. Some of us actually know how to do risk analysis and make an informed decision.

Yes, there's a risk of getting COVID19, both for drivers and riders. And a lesser risk for getting seriously ill. But, it's always a risk, whether this, the flu, a cold, or anything else. As for spreading to other passengers, it's their decision to take an Uber. Some see it as a low risk, some don't have to worry about other family members, etc. Others, have to go out, whether to get food, medical care, or to earn a paycheck.

So, if you don't want to drive, then don't. But stop beating on those that do.

There's a reason that rideshare is considered an essential service.

I mean even if I was dead broke which I'm not cause I'm not an idiot.. and no I dont put myself above anyone saying that.. THERE IS NO DEMAND, I just went online for 2 hours on both uber and lyft with no intention of accepting a ride... and I did not get one single request. (I'm in the pasadena area)

Now say I did get a request and it was a min fare or a 10 -12$ fare.. in 2 hours.. how much money are you making... like for reals

So you all do what you want, I just tried to say my 2 cents

Don't forget the risk/odds of getting into a fatal car accident.
Given the average of of Uber/Lyft drivers I would not be surprised if the odds of dying in aa car crash is greater than dying from COVID19.
