I take anything these consumer tech websites say with a huge grain of road-salt. The writers tend to be journalism grads who have little to no technical training; Thus they’re writing about stuff they have little in-depth understanding in. So when some company (Uber, Tesla, whoever) makes some kind of announcement, these journos question nothing and swallow the whole spiel hook, line and sinker.
One should never suspend critical thinking just because some authoritative type makes an announcement. In fact, that’s when you need to be critical even more
Part of the reason why the world is in the mess it’s in is because sheeple types refuse to try and think and analyze for themselves. They lazily allow any random “expert” to come along and tell them what to think.
