Stacked ping before trip starts?

So I’m at the pickup point for my rider and it’s counting down the wait time when suddenly I get a new ping, with a 45+ notification. I didn’t know if accepting it would cancel the current trip? Or maybe that pickup was near the drop off for my original rider?
