Me and my wife spent the weekend in NYC. we were going to go to Point Pleasant, but the water is still miserably cold, and wasn't going to be "summery" weather. New York weather was great.

i *do* want to try working the beaches, but wouldnt know where to stay. I'm not into the sleeping in the car thing.

all hotels at premium weekends. you're not getting anything for less than 99$ - even 30 min inland.

maybe an hour inland you got a shot.
