Me and my wife spent the weekend in NYC. we were going to go to Point Pleasant, but the water is still miserably cold, and wasn't going to be "summery" weather. New York weather was great.

i *do* want to try working the beaches, but wouldnt know where to stay. I'm not into the sleeping in the car thing.

I havent tried it either, but, I'd imagine you can get a cheap motel a little more inland. Even if u gotta drive 30 mins or so...
