I don't know about where you drive but here in RVA, people start stumbling around drunk at around 7 pm. Thankfully, my wife shoved my ass out of bed and I drove during the day for a change - $110 and some change between around 1 to 7:30pm.

First hammered pax was a dude and his buddy. This is what I saw when I started the trip -

Apparently he'd been in Asia recently, I think he was so drunk that he put in an address over there. He tried to change it, app wouldn't let him. "F Uber, IPO my ass!" I think we can all agree ?

Then the two of them were loudly discussing how they would pay me, I kept assuring them that everything should be fine (and it was). But they were persistent.

One of them called his girlfriend, walking to the bar (like these two really needed to keep drinking), and told her to go back and "grab his fat stack". She was pissed, so good luck to him tonight ?

Got to the bar and one guy refused to exit until he was positive I'd been paid. He wanted me to go to his apartment so he could get his foldin' money, I declined. Drunk and obnoxious but I appreciate his thoughtfulness ?

Here in Richmond, VA on Saturday, they're hammered by 7 pm. It's a nightmare.

We have smaller, corner bars here that open in the morning for the 3rd shift workers. Once I had a breakfast delivery to a bar at 9am and I was shocked at how packed it was.

For the non 3rd shift workers, many start drinking by noon or the afternoon on the weekends. So yes I could see someone hammered by 7pm.

I always here the stories how in the South people are wasted by 7, cause they go to bed by 8.
