All 3 times extensive damage. 7 days after I got it, this idiot tried to park a sprinter van on top of it on a dead end street. 10 days to repair. 2 time guy T-bones it in reverse. 7 days repair. Today on a empty street parked across this C*nts house, but not in front of her driveway. 5.4” tall blondie, driving a F-150 extended on steroids , 4 back wheels. Manage to reverse out of her driveway, and crash into the back of it. I got a ping on my phone. From the sensors and cameras in the car. But someone so it and called the cops. By the time I walked up the street. She had already filed a report. The self entitled biach, was like “sooorrry” I told her I make a living with my car and if anything happens with my account, I will sue her insurance company, her mother, her baby. This happened in a wealthy neighborhood and the street is wide like 3 lanes. Problem is why would a 5.4” tall blonde drive a super truck she can’t even see over the steering wheel!
3 x in a 4 month period. WTF!

I had someone back into my car last year. It won't count towards 3 in 3 regardless of what other people tell you. It's property damage NOT a violation. You were not in your car when it happened, it won't count, regardless of if it's an insurance claim.

Don't believe the hype. It had me running scared too

There is a well known member SuzeCB on here who was waitlisted and I know at least 2 of her accidents (I believe all 3 accidents weren't her fault) weren't her fault.... I know at least one of them if not 2 the vehicle was parked... if I remember correctly you can get 3 strikes and on the 4th you get waitlisted..... I'm sure Suze will see this and share her experience

It's not the 4th, it's on the third violation. From what I remember of her posts, she was in the car for all 3 but most if not all weren't her fault. If the car is parked it doesn't count toward the 3 strikes in 3 years.

I wasn't parked, but I was stopped at intersections. But I was in the car, and it was running.

From what I understand, if the car is parked and you're not in it, it shouldn't count towards the 3-in-3 as YOU are not involved other than you own the vehicle that was hit. 3-in-3 follows you, not your vehicle (if that makes any sense).

You CAN average out what you make daily and put in for lost wages for the time you can't work because your car's in the shop, though. Be sure to do that.

And if you figure out the method that the insurance companies and courts prefer for that, please let us know here? For example, do they look over what you made weekly for X months and average that out and divide by 7? Do they look at what you usually make on Mondays for X months and average that out? That sort of thing. Could be very useful information for everyone here.

Good luck!

For a business I was a part of, we had "business continuation insurance". They looked at the past 3 years and averaged, either, all three years or the last year depending on what benefit them, subtracted expenses and looked at weekly PROFIT. So keep in mind they will use your mileage/irs deduction against you. Also, you can also go for on going expenses, I.e. insurance payments, car payments etc. (pro rated daily of course).

It was a long and complicated process for the business that I don't wish upon anyone

Oh so @SuzeCB, I was a little worried 3x legally parked. I even told her that my car was a fleet car w/ with commercial insurance. And if I loose my "Job" over it, it was going to get messy, as I would be suing her insurance company. I was nice to her.

Ya I will let you know cause the 1st time the person took off and I didn't have cameras, 2nd time I was hit by someone who I knew in my town, the car was gonna for 10 days. I decided not to pursue as that person compensated me a little bit for that vacation, this time if I'm I will 100% be suing. Cause I'm sick of idiots. So i will keep you posted.

What color is this car... it must be plenty dark if people can't see it.

It's going to count. 3 in 3, is three claims, regardless of fault. Insurance companies all share the same claims database. Also, Uber/Lyft is going to say that you didn't tell them, and that's enough to deactivate..lol. I bet that's what they'll say. Don't misunderstand, I'm not laughing at you (well, except for using a brand new car to Uber), I'm just betting they're that messed up to say some crap like that. If their were police reports, you can be sure they'll know.

right after i bought my jeep i was side swiped by a huge landscaping truck, it was the guy's fault but it was on my Checkr report. A few months later, a trash truck backed into my jeep, while it was parked in front of my house, and that was not on my Checkr report. There were police reports for both.

the first time i was driving down my street coming to a stop and the truck just pulled out and hit me, ran his bumper from the back of my jeep to the front cutting it like a can opener, $7,000 worth of damage, i filed with my insurance company, they paid for my repairs but their investigation showed him to be at fault. I was not in the vehicle when the trash truck smashed my jeep, i was home working with headphones in so had no idea, didn't even hear the cops knocking on my door, until a neighbor called my phone. I did not go thru my insurance company for that one, went thru the trash truck's insurance. Thing is, my insurance is state farm and they have really good contracts with the collision companies. They wouldn't even look at my car from the trash truck's insurance company. I had to have it repaired by a personal friend who runs a maaco. (over $5,000 in damage that time)

You are correct that regardless of fault 3 in 3 will deactivate you BUT you have to be in the car. If lent you my car and you got into an accident it would count as 1 for you not for me

I'm just going to go ahead and disagree. A claim, is a claim, is a claim. Doesn't matter (in NJ) who's at fault. If someone rams a shopping cart into your car while you're still in the store, and you file a claim.....it's on the record.

You're wrong and you can disagree with gravity as well but you'd be wrong about that too. So all someone would have to do is hit your car 3 times with a shopping cart and you think you'd be waitlisted?

Is called overpopulation. Time to pack bags and move to Bali or a Texas dessert. Things won't change much around here. It will only get worse. Seriously! Don't over analyze it. At least in Thailand they will steal your moped. In the Texas dessert, well is still cheap. Just learn to eat rattle snakes fajitas. Great salsas in Juarez too when you do your monthly sex trip there.

And that is why you never buy a new car or use a new car to do Uber.
I beg to differ. You buy a Ford Fusion hybrid cash. Then sell it and repeat the cycle at 50k. Or 6 months. Trust me I've done the math. And when I mean new I mean pre-owned with 1.5k miles on it. By buying it cash you can pay peanuts for it. 6 months later the car still looks and drives like a brand new car. You sell it to a private buyer. Done.
