This is probably a good time as any to mention when they say the word "pedo", they're not talking about pedophiles. They're also not talking about farts.
In Spanish, the word "pedo" is a versitile word used similarly as a certain Anglo Saxon word but not as vulgar. IMO, it's very vulgar because it's original meaning is flatulence but in Spanish, speaking vulgar is generally accepted. Some of their vulgarities would make English speakers' jaws drop.
