something came up that required quick and liquid cash and Lyft was the only option that didn't require repayment. I wasn't happy about it and looked for any way possible to get out of driving. At one point I even decided to live with the consequences of not having the funds I needed.
I ended up driving Friday and Saturday night and have to admit that it went surprisingly well. Friday night was much busier than usual and Saturday was very good. I even snagged a 500% PT ride as my last ride of the night on Saturday. Another interesting surprise is that I received a tip on 40% of my rides. I've never seen that before. I'll give the rideshare game one compliment; if you need quick cash that you don't have to repay, it's hard to beat. I still wouldn't recommend it as a full-time or long-term gig, however.
