What kind of rating does one give a PAX that are smelly and stink to high Heaven but are nice? (I learned to take a bottle of air-freshener with me)

There is a nationality that shall remain nameless (in my area) that seems to love overusing their BOUNCE/Snuggle fabric softener/dryer sheets!

Yeah, I know, it could be worse. But as soon as they get in the car and shut the door WHEW!!!! I need a gas mask! I try to grin and bear it for as long as possible, but if their ride is longer than 5 minutes....I HAVE TO crack the window open so I don't pass out at the wheel!

Again, it's only this ONE nationality that does this. I always have a splitting headache by the time I drop them off.

I don’t know who I hate more.... the ones who don’t shower or the ones who shower with perfume/cologne !!!!! Just a simple 3* is fine so that u won’t get matched again. At the end of day, if they weren’t paxholes, no need to 1* them.

With good attitude I rate 4. Not showering that day could be out of their control.

If it is a construction worker or a restaurant help,, I just open the window and take it.They don’t get a bad rating on my car.
Got OZIOUM to apply when they get drop of.
If it is TAKE OUT ,or coming out from bar hoping , there we go a low rating.

It's really not a big deal, I swamp the car w/ Ozium when they leave
I've been the smelly person in the past before and I'd hate to get downrated for having played basketball all day

Picked up Pool pax #1 yesterday. REEKED of weed. A/C on full blast and rolled my window down right away. Then picked up pax #2 & pax #3 - young women professionals heading home after work. Poor girls. 10 minutes into drive & passed Metro Station. Pax #2 says “I think I’ll get out here.” Pax #3 then says “me too”! Then another 30 minutes with #1.

Ethnic off the boat people from the largest continent that starts with an A smell the worst. Followed by drunk guys at night and lastly this Thai chick i dated for 2 weeks. She smelled like crap. My coworker also smells like turd. She’s kind of old but i bet you she’s never brushed her teeth. She’s also blind so when she trys to get up close to my screen, her mouth gets awk close to me and i can smell 50 years of bacteria simmering in her mouth

That's only a Lyft thing. Uber will match you again unless you specify that they were rude.

If you are making a customer service complaint, Rohit will sometimes claim that you will not be matched with someone again. However, it is not clear that Uber actually even has that technology. Obviously they could do it, if they wanted to. There's lots of things they could do if they wanted to.

I think Uber doesn't prevent matches, and just hopes that randomness and poor memories will win the day. But I really don't know. I sometimes wonder if they actually match up people deliberately, too. I get quite a few repeat customers (from the same and also from different pickup/destinations as the first time). Some people have ridden with me 5 times in a year. I'm talking about pings all over the city and sometimes the burbs.

I have always wondered what patents Lyft and Uber (and maybe other big players, especially the self-driving car services that don't yet operate) hold regarding TNC. I have not researched it. But it is possible, for example, that Lyft has patented the procedure where you are not matched if you low-rate the person. But even if there is a specific patent, Uber could afford to fight it. Or just purchase the license to do it. Companies do this with each other all the time. One standard strategy is for both sides to have as big an arsenal of patents as possible, so that they can threaten each other. If you sue me over X, I'll sue you over Y.

There are both technical systems patents, and what are called "business practice" patents. The latter is not an invention or device in the physical or digital sense, but just patenting a way of doing business. Shocking that you can do that, I know! (I once worked in an industry very similar to TNC, but not involving transportation. We had two kinds of customers that we paid for different ends of providing a service to a third kind of customer, who paid us. The structure of that business model, with all the details filled in, was patented and nobody else could do exactly what we did in the same way. We also had lots of patents about the technology that we used to do all that stuff. If you're wondering what the industry was, "Tell me what you're wearing.")

If it's body odor, or perfume, or cooking smells, anyone anywhere would know that that is not an odor to bring into a small public space.

If they don't, my rating just gave them a hint.

I had a pair of smellos yesterday. I was in Clowntown and had set the destination filter for Wisconsin and Western. I parked Northbound on Wisconsin Avenue near O Street. The damned thing kept giving me pings behind me on M Street.

The only time that I try to find ANYONE on M Street on UberX is at 0400-0600. Uber Taxi users seem to get it and will be out there looking for you. UberX users do not even know where they are, never mind out there looking for you. Call them all that you will, once you get there, they are still inside. They have ants for a reason. One of those reasons is so that THEY can have the police hassle THEM for sitting in the middle of M Street in traffic with their four-ways on.

I decided that I was too close to M Street, so I moved up close to Reservoir Road. The damned thing was STILL offering me pings behind me on M Street. Finally, one came in on Wisconsin, but it was STILL behind me and a block and a half from M Street. I took it, as it looked like all that I was going to get were pings that were behind me. I do not have too much trouble finding people on Wisconsin Avenue. They seem to come out, for the most part.

I get there and it is two smellos. One did not bathe, obviously from his B.O. and smelled like he had a crack full of poopoo. The other one smelled like he used only Shower-On-A-Stick. You could smell the Drug Store BO stick combined with his B.O. On top of all that pungency was the smell of dried fish. They went to the Day's Inn next to the Booger King on Connecticut Avenue. I had to hit the car HARD with the de-stinkifier spray after that one; Two stars, only because one of them was an old guy. The other one was a young guy and he should know better.
