Thanks just in case if anybody reads itPerfectly Ok to use. Be lucky!
Not allowedThanks. What about the signs that say bus taxi or permit holders before 11pm. Theyre in the town centre. All the local minicabs were going in not sure if uber was allowed.
Thanks - the uber nav directs us through it. Do you know if it will direct around if its in the restricted time? Not allowed
You must be kidding. Since when needs uber permission? Show the local vermin that uber uber uber alles in der Welt! Thanks. What about the signs that say bus taxi or permit holders before 11pm. Theyre in the town centre. All the local minicabs were going in not sure if uber was allowed.
Well said. The luck might be very much needed when they use it.Used it for 3 months with no issues. Used by Uber drivers all the time without issue. Be lucky!

Yeah I would always ignore uber nav or google maps etc it will take you places you're not allowed. If if doubt don't go down any street with restricted access as the fine just simply isn't worth it. Tell the pax where to go. Remember that sign is the exception most don't allow private hire. Always use Reading West as pick up for train station the other entrances are a nightmare I always direct pax there. Thanks - the uber nav directs us through it. Especially once Reading is flooded with Uber drivers instead of the local cab drivers of which is in the hundreads then comes Uber drivers in the thousands.I smell a revenue raiser! One day in the future, they'll take that PHV sign down and nick everyone who didn't see it missing![]()
Babs no matter what you are going to be told by Home Counties Uber driver, we know they can't make a day's wage (well maybe once a month)Can I ask you something Ben as it's uber strategy to force drivers to stay out of town to cover the pings and eliminate surge
Can an uber driver stay in reading or Woking and earn a proper day wage if you guarantee this I will switch on my uber and go Woking and stay there for a day just to prove u talking crap
Thanks for that I am only trying to prove him wrongBabs no matter what you are going to be told by Home Counties Uber driver, we know they can't make a day's wage (well maybe once a month)
I know a few of the guys who tried covering Slough and surrounding areas, always getting dragged out to do a Chippenham to Butnham Starion or a Gerrards Cross local to Gerrards Cross Station
They even had requests to pick up from Chalfont & Amersham whilst waiting Uxbridge.
Remember their minimum fare is £4 so £3 to driver who sometimes uses the whole £3 in fuel to reach the address and do the local trip!
Save yourself the time and don't bother touching Home Counties unless you're a part time waller
Only earn Lidl peanuts out there most days
I would say the earnings are comparable with working outer london (Staines ashford feltham etc). Whether they are acceptable to you I don't know. I always average around £15 / 16 per hour. Can I ask you something Ben as it's uber strategy to force drivers to stay out of town to cover the pings and eliminate surge

Funnily enough Ben I got a fare to Reading yesterday and saw this Uber driver take the same short cut- I think his luck ran out!
