It tells you on the ping. You have to be in queue for at least 15mins also.

It is. They must be trying to give as much incentive as possible. They've always had trouble with short trips at airports. Drivers cancelling, forcing pax to cancel, etc. Of course, I personally don't believe 6 hours is that's much greater an incentive than let's say 1 hour. Because if you just finished a short trip, you're still near the airport and are gonna want to try for another airport run NOW, not later. Why would I drive away and come back 4 hours later? It doesn't make much sense,

They'll get rid of this quickly. Every Tom, John and Harry will decline as soon as they see that notification.

"We know short trips can be frustrating..."

Does Uber ever invent anything or just watch Lyft experiments and copy what they like?

This is a very unuber like move?
No way in hell is Uber labeling the trip as short before accepting.

Thats like sitting in a bar and walking up to a hot chick and saying "4 inches" while introducing yourself

LOL, they were sooo excited about that new earnings feature on their app. Yet Lyft has had this same display for almost a year if not longer.

Even worse.... 'broke Uber driver, by me a drink'

It doesn't tell you what the maximum mileage for short trip protection is, so we will have to compare notes here.
