Well, I am a Republican living in sf. I do not believe the problems with sf has anything to do with liberal, Democrats, or conservative Republican etc. This has to do with "GREED"!!

Non regulating tech industries, slum lords, and the list goes on that former Ed Lee allowed to pack into the city without taxes and regulations had turned this city upside down and disinfranchise Med, lower class people who yes, poor, but making it just the same has been stepped on and then kicked to the curb! Criminals now have more rights than law abiding citizens in SF, crime out of control despite any recent efforts. I grew up in SF and have lived here for over 50 yrs.

Doing this job elevated has my awareness of every issue you mention above and I don't think we'll see any improvements ever!

There should be a candidate who runs on a transportation platform promising to cleanup and accelerate construction that bottlenecks traffic, etc.

That shows you how fast jobs can get done. Most construction companies are just dirty crooks that drag out the job for as long as possible to milk every penny out of it. Meanwhile we suffer through traffic jams that they cause and by paying for it through our taxes. Just remember, when the government(our taxes) pay for anything, it's always blank check.
