http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/in-transit/SEPTA-to-partner-with-Uber-in-the-burbs.html

"Riders taking Uber to or from 11 Regional Rail stations in the four counties surrounding Philadelphia will get 40 percent off the cost of their Uber ride. The discount can be no more than $10 per trip. The discount, a pilot program for what could become a permanent arrangement, will be in effect from Memorial Day to Labor Day and will give SEPTA insight into how ride sharing could affect ridership.".............

I'm thinking to myself ... no wander Uber re drew the surge areas in the outer burbs ... Septa just so happens to service a few of those areas ..... AND this will prob mean an increase in UberPOOL requests ... especially during rush hour ..... I"ll bet Uber will offer guarentees for drivers especially in those areas

Generally speaking a septa bus rider is a pool rider. Seams to be this was the intent all along. Uber will see an increase in pool riders but will septa see increased ridership? I doubt it. Each demographic of our community is being given the opportunity to enjoy uber. It's our choice whether or not those choices are lucrative. Personally speaking this is not my target audience. No tips, poor ratings and a blatant disregard for my vehicle is not in my future.
