Hey guys
I applied for PCO licence more then one year ago, they took long time to figure out that my DBS and medical is a few months old, then contacted me to get a new DBS and medical which i done promptly, after that time again it took nearly 4 months to get my TOPO date ( which i passed later on ), then TFL contacted me again to get a new DBS because i applied with older DBS.
I am very furious about this outcome, applying again and again cost money and frustration.
Can someone help me what to do in this situation?

Mate without sounding rude why did you apply for a licence in the first place just go get PAYE job.

And there is nothing you can do whatever they want you will have to provide them with. They got loads of applications everyone trying to get on the gravy train which in reality has run dry.

I'd make sure they TFL are using the second DBS you did, to do a second DBS you would've needed a second email address to do this so double check they have the correct one(new).

Ask them what reference number they have, the e number.

Everybody should sign up for the update service aswell.

Its cheaper and means no waiting for a DBS on renewal.

Not sure why anybody would wait that long for a PH Lic.

Carry on with what you are doing as London doesn’t really need any more Newbie PH Drivers it already has more than enough.

Consider different Local Authorities like Brentwood or Thurrock for example

according to u it's run dry, doesn't mean it has for everyone. ok u ain't going to get rich doing this, but better than your PAYE advice for sure

sick pay is provided after 7 days, job security/pension its how u look at it, get a job on the railways or post office it'll be easier for u , this job doesn't come with these benefits no, but neither does it come with the responsibilities that those jobs with those benefits demand

Dude I'm as real as they come. At least in a job (with responsibilities) you can work your way up which equals to more money. Not knocking being a cab driver but you will have to agree it has become saturated because alot of people who are ubering have told me this. I was doing uber but now at office where i am doing less work for more money. Its good to get another persons perspective. How long you been cabbing?

that's fantastic, u now got an office situation, and rightly so you'll make more money as your expenses are so much lower now, but uber-saturated no, I work on a dozen or so jobs every day after that I'm shattered.... I worked at a local minicab co, and believe me you know what work is when u got a controller breathing down your neck.. uber a breeze in comparison and u make more money with uber with less time on the road. but good luck your on your way smart move on your part

Yeah uber is great in allowing all this damaged, crashed with no lights cars on the road.
