The only way that the union won't control where when and how much you drive is if that is set up in the union when you are setting up everything at the beginning. Call me an uber shill or a fanboy if you want but I'm not exactly in favor of a union if it's going to stop me from driving where and when I want to. The city could solve all these problems by eliminating Uber pool by forcing a bottom minimum rate per mile and if they want us to have better working conditions they can set the rate per mile higher than we currently have. This whole Union thing is probably going to go through because the city wants it so they don't have to make legislation that will piss off one of the more powerful companies in the city. The only way I would vote Yes to a union is if they promise not to mess with how many hours I drive where I drive and when I drive. A pay raise and elimination of uber pool would just be a bonus.
