Chris, the full time driver might not know what to expect. He wants to form a union for a non union business. You can push buttons and want all you want. If there's any chance of a union the first thing Uber will do is cancel all the insurance policies with James River. That means your $15 a month rideshare endorsement now becomes a real commercial policy that is almost $400 a month (maybe more depending on circumstances). Uber will NEVER be considered an employer. All the TNC's will close their doors before having to pay employees to drive. The overhead for non experienced drivers would cause the TNC's to charge more then a traditional cab. It WILL NEVER HAPPEN. But dreams are something that keeps many people hopeful. Sad part is that less then 2 years ago not one person in this country ever dreamed about becoming an employee for Uber. Now they're begging to be employees. Good luck Chris.
