This could be part of the issue as well, there is just not as much demand in NY as NJ to go around. So they come to the shore for easier scores at nearly the same rate as NY with less wear and tear. The drivers should have stood up to Uber when Uber fought the limit of vehicle increase in NY like the mayor wanted last year. Taking out of their pockets and now taking out of NJ driver pockets.

Not only NY plates but also saw CT and PA plates as well. I'm seeing anywhere from 10 to 20 uber cars parked within a block of the hot spots (Beirgarten, Parker House, D'Jais, etc.)

Two NYC TLC black cars sit in the Wawa parking lot in Red Bank every Friday/Saturday night. I don't know if they get any calls, unless they are set to pickup XL. I am an XL & I drive by them all the time. I don't know why the come down here. For 1 ride? Weird.
Can't blame these drivers for anything, they are full-timers and work as hard as we all are. They probably dropped off the pax and waited for ping to make some more fares back. We all should blame on Uber that don't limit amount of drivers in NJ/NY, and keep lowering down the fares, that ridiculous, and that's why i don't drive as much as like used to be, sick of this $.85/mile.

Remember some of these NYC TLC drivers actually live in jersey. So, probably want to start in jersey and see if the ride goes into NYC or the three airports.

I wouldn't have a problem being fingerprinted if they passed that law here in NJ. But that is just me.

What experience do you have to have driving where you live? Don't drop off in the middle of the street (like the TLC NY drivers do in Sea Girt). Don't loiter in the Wawa parking lots (where it says - no loitering) & don't drive like all jerky NY drivers do. I don't get why people come down to the Jersey Shore if they don't know the ins & outs & then ***** when local cops give them an issue.

That issue has been posed on this forum many times and nearly 100% of the drivers wouldn't have a problem with fingerprinting. Just waiting for the regulations to happen.

In fact, one of the biggest reasons we want it to happen is to get rid of the shitty, unethical drivers.
