SF attorney general wants Uber/Lyft to turn over records relating to how ride sharing firms classify drivers,as well as drivers wages,health care,& other benefits in latest probe in SF yr long investigation into these co's.SF city attorney said on Tues he was seeking evidence that Uber/Lyft are in compliance with recent CA supreme court decision that makes it easier for workers to prove that they are employees entitled to benefits & protections,rather than ind contractors? Interesting,

"With the subpoenas, San Francisco wants to ensure Uber and Lyft are legally classifying their drivers as independent contractors. If not, then Uber and Lyft must offer drivers minimum wage, sick leave, healthcare and paid parental leave."
And you can bet if they ever have to do that they'll increase their demands on drivers by a huge amount.
