Yes Just today. But if I am an independent contractor why do I have to complete it? Or is it because I am an employee? I"m soooo confused.:cry::cry:
Apparently I am a "Driver Partner" Phew!
Did the course. What choice did I have. Took 20 mins. Explained to Uber that they should require pax to take a course as well to learn HOW TO FECKIN catch an Uber safely.

Done .. question though, why isnt it acceptable to ask someone if they're on their way home?

I often ask, which normally starts a conversation, like have had a big night blah blah, or just finished work etc...

This is what a lot of female passengers tell me....

1. The scenario below is a BIG NO NO. Creepy, sexual harassment and straight to jail. Not allowed to ask women that.

2. The scenario below is perfectly fine and allowed.

Remember, it’s only sexual harassment if you look like George Constanza from Seinfields. 😂.

If you have a typical Uber drivers face similar to the 1st photo…..even the privilege of looking at traffic using the center rear view mirror is also removed and you will have to use the side mirrors. You are risking a ban if you use that mirror due to ‘eye rape’ sexual harassment complaints. World is evil if you have a typical Uber drivers face, with a face like that your only option is to study heavy science based subjects and get a high paying job in the STEM fields (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) OR become an Uber driver, nothing in between for you. Brutal, I know.

Just kidding. Both drivers should mot ask passengers questions like that. Yes, the 2nd driver wearing the designer torn jacket won't be deactivated or have riders complain about them, BUT if you have the face that matches the driver in the 1st photo, SHUT UP AND DRIVE. You can't afford to slip up using the wrong words, not even once. BAN. World is evil, play to your strengths.
I like when you get a ride and the guy is using a manual, such a smooth ride!

I was pretty bummed watching the sexual harassment series, didn’t learn a thing, seemed like they were trying to discourage it
Talking to a lot of Uber drivers past 3 years and I don’t think they mean evil. It’s just that most are fresh off the boat, have little to no Western cultural references and don’t have the social skills to make small talk. Plus with a typical Uber drivers face and the accent…they can come off as creepy to the opposite sex which is unfortunate. They are a group of people chosen by society to be an Uber driver so there’s that too with many having being treated poorly all their lives due to ‘default society standards’, so they end up with poor mental health, poor financial standing etc to conclude their life as a full time Uber driver. I feel bad for them sure but the golden rule is to shut up and drive. Being quiet and knowing the fastest way to the destination almost always guarantees a high rating. Also having a shower and keeping the car clean but that’s a given hehehe.

Have had a lot of woman riders comment that I'm the only Uber driver in years that haven't tried to hit on them or ask for their phone number.
Only there to drive people A2B.
