Lately pax have been saying how they are getting more uber drivers that are rude and dirty, more like taxi drivers. They may be ex taxi drivers anyway whoever they are I think they need to get to grips with what they are doing (hard hat is now firmly on)

Hmmm....so uber wants QUALITY drivers and cheap do they? You get what you pay for.

I'd like to pose the question then, "is there a protocol amongst Uber Drivers" ie if a pax complains do we instruct/recommend the pax to complain to Uber.
Not sure if there was such a protocol in the taxi fraternity but my view is that we (Uber drivers) should legitimately weed out the cowboys to keep the brand healthy...any thoughts.

Another option is to do what my son did once. He used to deliver pizzas when still in high school. One evening a customer opened the door and complained about something and he nonchalantly replied "tell someone who cares"
He did lose his job over it.
I dont say anything but thats exactly how I feel if riders have a whinge.

Why don 't the riders deal with it by rating these drivers 1 star and/or emailing Uber. What's the point in them complaining and whinging to us ?
Now you are getting it.
This is exactly how it goes in the Taxis.
Passengers like to complain to you but ask them to put it in writing and send it to the DoT. Different matter.
As for the complaints and them most likely being cab drivers. What can you expect? You have after all taken away their clients and their livelihood.

Yep, tell them to call the Samaritans and speak to someone who cares. Exactly how I feel.

I on
How do they know there ex taxi drivers?
Cause of the cars they drive??
Ethnicity??
Oh that's right there dirty as well so they must be.

Like the beloved pax making assumptions, it's no wonder all they get now is shit service and they &%[email protected]!*ing deserve it the s***c**t*
I once went to the office when they were at Bedford Bowling Club ages ago and there were about 100 people inside for an onboarding session and about 100 taxis parked out on the street so I think it would be safe to assume from that that a lot of taxi drivers are switching over. That must have been 12 or 18 months ago and I would imagine even more drivers switching over now as Uber keeps applying the pressure on taxis.

There is a complaint number on the dashboard of every cab along with Diver Id and Fare schedule. I don't think anyone ever complained.
I made up a slip of paper with Minister of Transport and DoT e-mail on it. Requested passengers to get a receipt from any bad drivers which contained their id and car number.
Doubt if any ever followed up.
I also complained endlessly about drivers queue jumping, out of uniform etc but had no joy.

I hear Swans are now looking to employ an on road supervisor. This was something I was also campaigning for. Twelve months too late (ten years too late).
