So even tho most of you are not to partial to me and the way I do business that has nothing to do with how drivers should be treated. If we all can get on the same page we might be able to make some changes to the way these companies treat us. Luckily we do have a couple platforms to get together and creat a strategy, like here and the airport where we can come together and make these companies change how much they take from our earnings, change our independent contractor status, provide GAP insurance etc...I feel it will happen eventually so why not now? Any ideas are welcome this is a open platform, remember they need us more then we need them it's just a matter of organizing

My first thought is to creat flyers to hand out at the airport to hold a drivers meeting letting them know there needs to be a change

There was a driver meeting this afternoon, did you go?
No I didn't, had work..was it about unionising? And what was the turn out ? For this to be effective we would need enough drivers onboard to really send a message to lyft/uber when we go offline....
You get that these companies exist to get around unions right. That's why they aren't taxis. Good luck though

So you are here for like 5 minutes and now you want to unionize??? You don't want to follow simple rules of tradedress and pick up and drop off locations and you want a union?? Uber doesn't want drivers like you. They want ants to follow the rules. You go offline I'll be there phone in mount ready to accept rides
Well I don't expect everybody to organize there will always be people who are willing to work for less then theyr worth, that dosent mean everybody els should, unfortunatly you'll be able to reap the benefits of the people who actually put foot down n made shit happen...after gas insurance depreciation/wear tear maintenance on your vehicle how much are you actually makin ?

Also, I find it funny but boarderlines sadyou consider yourself a ant...smh

Unions are for employees.

WE are not employees of rideshare. Pick a cab company u like and Go join one cab company they have unions over there. Staring a union is not easy . Most drivers are driving b/c they have to. I don't know anybody who drives for beer and pizza and just for fun.

Who does not want to be treated better than this? Do u think We all wanted to be treated better. Do we? Read the comments that are posted by other drivers. I have seen people just like come and go right here on this forum talking about union .I have worked on 2 strip hotels as a union employee .You know what you did for me ? nothing at all. I think I paid like $40 bucks a month to union.

I'm not asking for your money, I'm asking you to realize in order for change we have to organize...I can't do this for you I can only try to point you in the direction of what needs to be done, this is somthing you me and every driver has to do for ourselves

Forget the word union, how about drivers association? Does that help ?

They already had a meeting today, go check it out, put your name in the hat, offer your services, prove what you can do.

As I mentioned earlier.....there is a Drivers Association. URSDA. United Rideshare Drivers Association. Go join them on Facebook. I'm sure you could contribute much.

No no I think this one would be much better put to use in the other Association. You know....the other one? The one that has already been made official.

There you go....you belong with them. By all means...go....get shit done. We look forward to hearing of your great success in taking on the giant rideshare industry.
I don't need to be a part of anymore movements. I'm living a simple life now. Free.
