You are 100% correct..... but it still sucks what percentage they are taking!

The thing is all pax are thinking under driver gets 75%-80% of what they paid, which they think is pretty good. So no need to tip the driver.

I wonder how much grief I would get if I created an "Uber Information Sheet" and kept it freely available in my pockets behind the front seats with a "Please Take One" sign. I could really care less what Uber thinks. And along the same lines, I read a story the other day from a newspaper somewhere complaining about a large group of people getting ripped off "by Uber drivers charging surge prices". Some days I wonder if people REALLY knew....... nah, they wouldn't believe us anyway. That's why I will not mount a tip box in the car or mention it. They already think "we" charge too much.

i honestly don't think it matters what they think we're paid. cheapskate non tippers will not tip regardless.

This the main reason PAX think we make a ton of money. But I dont stress over how much Uber is making from pax AND me;I just take the long distance so long is feasible.
Just like last friday I took pax from upper darby to arcadia Univ/glennside. App wanted me to go City ave, lincoln dr, willowgrove ave.. I went 4-5 miles to 476, turn pike to rt309 exit, and Rt309 to arcadia. I made it 3 minutes faster AND i got the toll reimbursed.. Uber only "lost" 10$ Im sure the pax was happy I made it fast and nonstop, he will definitely use uber again. Customer retention at the price of 10$ lol
