Got a call while en route to pax. He says it's him and 4 other people. I hesitate and tell him that each passenger must have their own seatbelt and my car only seats 4. He says ok and cancels. I'm still in the area so I accept his ping again. I show up, it's him, two dudes and two girls. He's trying to convince me to squeeze in one more, she's a tiny little thing. I say, "let's risk it."

So there I am driving these kids home. My question is, is there a way I can profit from this? I've read you can have a fare adjustment based on pax having had more than 4 passengers, but I'm worried I'll be deactived for even starting a trip with 5 people. What do I do.

I don't think they'll suspend the OP, probably just charge him the appropriate Uber Fee for XL, subtracting a little bit more from the fare and leaving less for the partner.

As long as they aren't getting cheated out of part of their taste, they'll have no reason to complain.

I can't take more than 6, the third row only seats two. With automakers going captain seats in 2nd row they're aren't many that can. The newer redesigned mid-sized suvs like the Acadia are all going bench second row and two seater third row.

It could be a 2-car or more order, just because there are more than 6 doesn't mean they expect to all get into the same vehicle.

Oh trust me they try to pull the 7 trick all the time. I got a nice XL surge up in Burbank last weekend that was going to Long Beach. I really wanted it but there were 7. Told them sorry only 6 and the girl who ordered got nasty. Her friends apologized and they still used me but ordered a second car. App holder stayed back and pax in car handed me $10 before we even left.
