I have taken several trips to Logan Airport in Boston. They pay me for the incoming toll but I get whacked $8.5. It's like a 1.5 trip with no traffic. Fare is around $40-$50. I told a pax I couldn't take her. Is there a filter to turn off taking a fare say 30 miles away? I am not driving in Boston traffic for minimum wage in my own car.

In Connecticut, Uber adds a $15 surcharge that drivers receive when a fare takes us into New York City. This supposedly compensates both for return tolls and the fact that we are not allowed to accept return fares anywhere in New York state.

Lyft does not pay the $15 surcharge, but does pay return tolls if you email Lyft support. Therefore, you'll earn less with Lyft then Uber going into NYC, which is why many Lyft drivers refuse NYC destinations.
