First of all, I am so fed up with both companies I would like to spit in both their faces. I rented a vehicle through FAIR, and as you can clearly see on their website and APP, it states that you can earn rewards by leasing a car through them. This is copied and pasted directly off of their site.
Earn Rewards
Complete 70 trips in a week, earn $185 in rewards from Uber. That can cover your weekly car payment to Fair. If you complete 120 trips, get a $305 reward**.
Ok. Next thing. The first day, I get picked up at my house in an uber and they take me to the fair office in Oakland which is about an hour and 20 minutes from my home. At least they paid for the uber but man what a shit show it was there. A lot of unhappy people, and a dirty garage where there were a few employees who looked like they had no business being employed and no idea what they were doing. After sitting around aimlessly for about an hour they finally tell us they have no cars and to come back tomorrow. Was not happy but I did just that. The next day they gave me a Nissan Altima and I drove home.
What follows was the biggest customer service nightmare of my entire life. I proceeded to spend the next 3 weeks, I shit you not, dealing with FAIR on the phone, on their chat, emails, and talking to managers trying to get them to upload the vehicle registration to the Uber app. My sanity was deteriorating, it was that bad. Towards the end I literally lost my mind dealing with these incompetent idiots. I also contacted Uber at least a dozen times, and you know how stupid their customer service is. Noone could do anything. Everyone just kept apologizing. So it turns out the vehicle registration had an invalid date on it, and after trying to forced it through for 3 weeks they finally were able to get it successfully uploaded. 400 dollars in gift cards from FAIR and 2 weeks of waived payments later, I was finally ready to drive.
Except now I see that the weekly promotion that is offered, isnt offered. I would have never leased this vehicle for 800 a month, but know I could easily bang out at least 70 rides per week, which would make it a good deal. I called uber and dealt with those mindless imbeciles, and the people, including managers, didnt even know what I was talking about. After threatning legal action and sending a screenshot of the offer, I finally got an acknowledgment of it through email. However, they are still not showing this offer weekly in the app.
I am so disgusted with Uber, not only for their changes in pay and the way they treat their drivers, but for this blatant false advertising and lack of competence as well. I have literally spoken to several attorneys about this matter.
So there you have it. Fair will tell you that if you rent a vehicle through them you get a bonus of 185 per week if you do 70 rides at least, which nullifies the cost of the car. Except they dont. When you call FAIR out on this and tell them its on their app, they point the finger at UBER and tell you to contact them. Except when you do, UBER claims ignorance and tells you they "will contact their specialized team" which is nothing more than a group of monkeys who have no business having a roof over their head let alone being employed anywhere on this planet. Then they will tell you to contact FAIR and that it is on their app and website.
How can they get away with this? I am so angry, frustrated and disgusted it is beyond words at this point.
I should post some of my interactions with uber and fair, as I have screenshots of a ton of stuff that would entertain you guys and make you laugh. I was not aware incompetence of this level was possible until I dealt with these utter clowns!
