do I have to wait first after I get my t6xxxxc license plate to apply for a custom license plate like Apple88, or can I get custom plates right away?

Also what about people who already have regular custom plates, can they transfer those customs plates to tlc plates?

The fee is like $60 i believe, tell the clerk you want custom plates obviously.

the last part you mentioned is called a plate transfer so you need to fill that paperwork out.

I read somewhere that you have to get your TxxxxxxC plates/registration first. Then you can call the custom plate number and tell them your the owner of 'apple88' and want that on you tlc plates. Not sure what the procedure would be but it would involve surrendering your plates at some point. Call the custom plate number, they should be able to give you a straight answer. They do pick up since I had called them to order my custom tlc plates.
