This is the blog post by Susan Fowler that has just sent a shock wave through Uber headquarters.

http://www.susanjfowler.com/blog/2017/2/19/reflecting-on-one-very-strange-year-at-uber

We're going to be hearing more about this in the coming days, but let's keep in mind that the drama taking place at UberHQ has nothing to do with the issues we have with the company.

This is not the kind of story that will keep anyone interested for very long, so I suspect that it might be just a red herring thrown out there by the company to divert attention from some other issue that the media might be getting close to reporting.

LMFAO. alleged harasser could've picked up nearly any female at any bar by flashing a Rolex, Mercedes key fob and not being morbidly obese.

instead he chooses to jeopardize his career (and stock options?) by sharing too much info w/a random woman with a hyphenated last name who showed up for her first day of work.

And genius did it over company chat---which probably means that everything was automatically archived forever.

Let's applaud the engineers that program the app.

Here's another interesting post from a "would-be" Uber employee.

I saw that post a few days ago. I was shocked at the guy's boldness and even more shocked on how HR handled giving dude a pass. And lied about it.

I don't know why I am so suprised that it happened at Uber, if they treat drivers like shit and don't care. How could I ever think they would treat women employees who are programming the app any better?

Surely HR thought about the potential lawsuit from the repeated reports abt this manager. Surely??? Why were they protecting a "high performer". High performers come a dime a dozen. That manager has a serious problem and must have secrets on Travis or someone in that same vein. There is no way a reputable company would continue to give anyone that many chances.
