Again. That's the second time a cab driver hit a cyclist. The first one was at spring mountain and treasure island parking garage. The cyclist die.

American? What are you trying to say?? You don't think the filthy cabbie was reckless in (mowing down or running down or squashing or barreling over) the naive pedestrian? PS - past the 8th grade, no one should read or see things only in black or white. It's the equivalent to mental runt.

These cabbies are a hazard to all the cities they inquinate. It is like a slow-dying, stench-laden dinosaur, stinking up the place, clogging the streets and avenues of America. There are couple of old folks left that don't know how to use smart phones or apps, and they are your life-support. But the life support is temporary. 4-5 years, traditional taxi's and the mess they leave behind will be done. And all streets and people will be better offer and safer.

Time to replace and repeal the crooked taxi cartel. They should at least be forced to take mandatory driving lessons. 90% of cabbies drive like crap!

Give me a break, look around you when you're on the strip, only a dummy thinks like you, cabbies, tnc, limo drivers etc, are driving like idiots on the road, not all of them, but some of us, it doesn't matter who you work for, I admit that some cabbies drive like crap, but to think you guys are perfect because you are an uber is very childish, I almost get hit everyday by uber, taxi, etc.

Right on I second that. Uber drivers and cab drivers are one and the same. Some are crazy drivers some are not.

An important fact you overlook. We drive our OWN cars. We care about our cars. We are more careful with our own cars then a cabbie is with a borrowed car. if we have an accident in our own car we are out of work until our car is fixed. Unlike cab drivers who just get another car.

Psychological projection?
He does say he drives for both taxi and rideshare. So yeah...one and the same lol!

If I were that cyclist I would be happier I got hit by a cabbie than an Uber. I have more faith the cabbie has the insurance and income stream I can attach.

Unless the Uber driver has an active passenger...then Uber's commercial insurance covers up to 1 1/2 million. That should cover it.
Except the line to sue Uber is in the thousands.

Now you know how other drivers feel about you when they see your trade dress.

What about the renters? They don't own.

What about them? There are exceptions to pretty much every rule. I would think though.....if I were renting a car to drive for rideshare to make money and I want to continue to be able to do so...I would also be pretty darn carful when driving. You would still have to pay a deductible out of pocket at the Least. Perhaps a cab driver can chime in. Lvcab9404 or any other cabbie....what happens to a driver when you wreck a cab. Does it cost you a deductible or your job?

Greg...you drive a cab? Always thought you were Uber. Anyway...commercial insurance coverage and a law suit are different animals.
