SMS from Uber is now enabled. To disable, reply STOP.

I too texted "go" and got this.

1. I did the text go thing but I'm still not getting the guarantees...why?
2. When and if I do ever get the guarantees, how does one "opt in"?

When you actually do start to receive the texts there is a link. Click the link and it will take you to a page where you enter your name, email (the email Uber has on file for you), and your phone number. Once that's done you're signed up.

Tip: screen shot the page that says you're successfully signed up. You do not get any notification of opting in other than this page.

Thank you...I seem to remember reading Ina thread that newbies don't get the guarantees...is this true?? If yes. After how long is one no longer a newbie?

You have to have your TNC before you will get these texts. No TNC, No guarantees.
