I really believe it is going to be super crazy once this fever is over in just couple of weeks when people finally get out trying to recuperate in a wave of tsunami. The demand will probably be unprecedented as people start traveling after getting stuck.

Also anyone knows if there is compensation in the stimulus plan for this freelance work? Post details if you can

Since uber/Lyft are not doing well, do you think they will pitch in with some pay to drivers?

Would love to hear some positive input

Anybody who made 75k or less in last year tax filing gets stimulus plan. I'm not sure if they came up with the amount yet but was suppose to be 1k or 1.2k

True but that's why they plan on doing 2 round of stimulus to make sure we have money flowing once it's over

Thanks for some nice input. I am assuming $75k threshold is after business expenses deducted and net income, and that should pretty much qualify every driver, but I wish there was a way for those who may not be filing taxes. Regardless, 1200 possibly less based on prorated income is not much.

In any case, I was hoping people would still be running out running their errands and freedom, and could afford rides. I believe there probably be a huge demand.

They said that gonna be around 1200 per individual and 500 for each kid in 2 different months and yes most of us qualify

And about the huge demand, to be honest I don't think so it's gonna be a slow recovery in my opinion for 2020 we must focus in survive but I told you I hope 🤞🏾 to be wrong!!!

So, I haven't read the article but it could simply mean people wouldn't be buying homes for a little while because of income slump and rush to recuperate first. I do not believe that potential housing crash will have direct impact on this business model. Also, remember, 2008 housing crash resulted in massive bailout by US govt. And to surprise, banks and corporations regained control big time and returned money with interest to the govt. In record time.

Regardless, I truly believe as people start coming out, going to work, go out eat and have a fresh start, demand will be hopefully skyrocketing with enormous comeback with vengeance. Let's see...... keep up the hope, it will be big

For an adult living in nyc 1.2k is joke money. The real bailout money is going to airlines, and the entire travel industry. 1.5 trillion.

Out of that only 1 billion gets divided among the millions of stupid people who think this is a gift from government to help them haha. So compare your 1.2k to the real 1.5 trillion.

It's more like a consolation prize to shut people up while airlines and other corporations get the real bailout to stimulate the economy.

By the way, this money will just be printed out of thing air. Not to mention this will cause inflation to skyrocket (your dollar holds less value than before) and thus the rich (who have most of their wealth in equities that rise with inflation) will get richer while the poor stock up on toilet paper.

Exactly!

Just like they bailed out finance companies back in the day or detroit auto makers, we all remember how did it go. That injected money turned into bonuses for management. Workers took the short stick as usual.
Shit will really hit the fan soon. 1k is nothing.

Fever isn't going to over in just couple of weeks. It's gonna last much longer. Number of cases is going to raise everyday because there is no cure, no vaccine yet. Infected people don't show symptoms for 2-14 days but they can spread. It makes very difficult for preventing spread. Even if they have symptoms they can't get tested because hospitals don't have enough resources to test everyone. In this situation most people should assume that they'll get infected. When about 50% of population catch the virus and recover then it's going to slow down but it will take months. This is much longer crisis then you think.
