After my ride early Friday morning around 3am, my driver app automatically switches to offline. I then try to turn it back on, and it says your account is currently not active. I then get a message asking for my social and d.o.b. stating they will conducting a backround check on me.

I called Uber, and they said they need to do another backround check on me and could take 7-10 business days to complete. According to them, my last back round check was on January 15th of this year, so why another one just less than 6 months later...? Nothing has changed; no tickets or criminal activities since then, or even since when I first started for that matter. However, I do have a child support order, but I am currently making my payments. Has this random backround check happened to anyone else before, or has Uber changed their policy on how far their backround checks go..??

Yeah, that’s weird. I have never had that happen to me. Maybe this is part of their new policy’s and stuff they are rolling out

Happened to me, and was a pain in the ass because I just changed my address with dmv and the new license showed and issue date of less than a year. The old license they hit with the void punch over the date. It was ridiculous and took 2 weeks

I have never heard of a Random Backround Checks.We all know that if you get hurt on the job your employer can send you to a DR for drug test. Last year I used to get Random face ID check once a month before they let me go online and start accepting rides and stuff. I wish you could get an employment ins while you wait on background check ...Good luck to you.
