Tarvus! Lmao. That's horrible, but funny as hell hearing your story.
On another note, I have stayed up so late from doing airport arrivals, that around 4am I get blitzed for pax departures. Problem is, I am pretty damn tired by then lol! There is only one flight around 6AM but then nothing usually till around 9am. It is a good strategy and Naples will absolutely have departures all summer. Execs and the like, don't stop working over the summer. My daughter is well connected with happenings in Naples so if I find out more tricks, I will share them with you all. Lol I can't nor anybody else take all the rides for themselves anyway.
PS Those early morning pings can sometimes be very long travel to pick someone up, so be careful, as they could cancel.

You can do that on Lyft since you now have 24 hours to leave feedback but you dont have that option with Uber. Keep in mind that many riders dont tip right away. Many will tip the next time they'll use the App when seeing the reminder about their last ride.

thanks ....I am preferring Uber over Lyft so far.... I find uber keeps me busier and people tip .... mostly

I find that in our market, I make on average $2.68 more per Uber fare than per Lyft fare. Lyft is mostly shorter trip non-tippers and you are far more likely to get underage rider requests on Lyft. Uber pings are more frequent, pay better, so I figure why risk a potential higher paying Uber fare while driving a Lyft fare. I rarely even turn on the Lyft app these days.

Agreed and most of the pickup are so far away. But sometimes you get lucky, my last Lyft ride was a pilot from Naples airport, he requested a LUX ride to RSW and gave me a $20.00 tip. Each time an airplane land in Naples or Marco the pilots will need a ride even to an hotel or the airport. Most of them are allowed to use Select or Lux and to be generous with the tips. ?

It would be the same (pilots needing rides) from Page Field and the Marco airport. Also a lot of the passengers need rides too

And at RSW there is Private Sky. And don't forget the FedEx and UPS pilots

From as far away as from exit 123 to exit 107. I was going that way anyhow so I accepted and then called the passenger to give them my ETA. In ever case they were airport rides and I got long pick up fees of from $7 to $12. I won't back track, but if it's in the direction I'm already traveling, I take it

I agree. I never hesitate to take long pickups in the Naples area and I too have driven from exit 123 to Naples. They are almost always airport runs early in the morning and I have had some Uber X rides in the $45 range doing long pickups.

I just started at the end of Feb... I wasnt sure how the airport thing worked so I was leaving the airport after dropping off a ride for Uber turned on Lyft and immediately got a ping to pick up at exit 132.... the ride was to Boca Grand.... before the time change .... never been there before......I know better now....

That would have been a sweet fare and probably worth the long deadhead drive back. Did you pick up a fare from Port Charlotte or Punta Gorda on the return?

No and it was with tip $77 and I was new and didnt pick up a fare next time I will though!!

I once picked up a couple at the Embassy Suites on Corkscrew Rd, drove them to the Punta Gorda Airport, started back south then before I had even gone a mile from the PGA I got a ping to take two people to all the way to RSW. Perfect combination! Nearly zero dead miles and $80 - $90 in fares :smiles:

I haven't driven for Lyft for almost a month. Lyft sucks here. Uber came first so more people use Uber everywhere. Lyft users here are mostly college students, visitors from cities like NYC, and Uber rejects. About 8 of 10 Lyft riders here give you less than 5 stars, in certain areas are mostly ghetto-behaving, and at the airport as I mentioned before if you get a ping from outside the airport you reject it and you go down to the last place at the queue, in addition of having a tiny geofence so you can't touch the phone while waiting or it will take you out of the geofence. And- if you get a request at RSW and the rider does not appear, be ready to be thrown back to to the end of the line at the queue. It makes you wait for a potentially fake passenger and then call the person so if you cannot cancel. Lyft is garbage
