Quick end to season!

It’s dead. 2-3 hour wait at RSW the last two nights and no pings in the streets. Looks like only bar runs, so might be time to hibernate until the small rush of summer vacationers in June ?

I haven't really seen much slow down yet. Still getting a lot of business and airport runs daily. Rogers67 is right about Naples and return trips to the airport. I didn't realize first arrivals were at 6:30. I thought they were closer to 9am. That info may prompt me to actually check in at the RSW que for the first time ever!

on a side note: My last ride was the Lyft I had to practically hold my breath and my eyes was literally starting to burn from the BO. Thank God it was only 2 miles !
I took a fare to the airport last week from Cape Coral - some 26 miles. The only way to describe his body odor is "stale butt crack". It was like a fog that permeated the car. I was queasy and fought the urge to vomit the entire trip. Had to crack the drivers side the window a few inches to let outside air in and chew on peppermint lifesavers to keep from getting sick.

Drove a couple of miles away from the airport with windows down afterwards then used a ton of Fabreeze to kill the stench.
thanks ....I am preferring Uber over Lyft so far.... I find uber keeps me busier and people tip .... mostly :smiles:
I find that in our market, I make on average $2.68 more per Uber fare than per Lyft fare. Lyft is mostly shorter trip non-tippers and you are far more likely to get underage rider requests on Lyft. Uber pings are more frequent, pay better, so I figure why risk a potential higher paying Uber fare while driving a Lyft fare. I rarely even turn on the Lyft app these days.

It would be the same (pilots needing rides) from Page Field and the Marco airport. Also a lot of the passengers need rides too

And at RSW there is Private Sky. And don't forget the FedEx and UPS pilots

Some of Those long pickups can work well I make at least two dead head drives from the airport to Naples every day. In the last week I got several long pickups. From as far away as from exit 123 to exit 107. I was going that way anyhow so I accepted and then called the passenger to give them my ETA. In ever case they were airport rides and I got long pick up fees of from $7 to $12. I won't back track, but if it's in the direction I'm already traveling, I take it
I agree. I never hesitate to take long pickups in the Naples area and I too have driven from exit 123 to Naples. They are almost always airport runs early in the morning and I have had some Uber X rides in the $45 range doing long pickups.

I just started at the end of Feb... I wasnt sure how the airport thing worked so I was leaving the airport after dropping off a ride for Uber turned on Lyft and immediately got a ping to pick up at exit 132.... the ride was to Boca Grand.... before the time change .... never been there before......I know better now.... :smiles:
That would have been a sweet fare and probably worth the long deadhead drive back. Did you pick up a fare from Port Charlotte or Punta Gorda on the return?
No and it was with tip $77 and I was new and didnt pick up a fare next time I will though!!
I once picked up a couple at the Embassy Suites on Corkscrew Rd, drove them to the Punta Gorda Airport, started back south then before I had even gone a mile from the PGA I got a ping to take two people to all the way to RSW. Perfect combination! Nearly zero dead miles and $80 - $90 in fares :smiles:
