Hi,

My question is related with recording kms in logbook. Do you guys enter every trip’s km in logbook?

or let say you started doing uber 1111 and finished it 1500 odometer, you just record the starting & ending kms???

Sorry..., trying to understand better... I started my day on Sunday around 1:30 PM and was online for around 5:00 PM, travelled to different places hoping that I get trip. Overall I managed to get 3 trips that all worth of less than $10 and drove around 150kms (not just trips, overall driving to find jobs). Can I log 150kms in logbook or only three trips i.e. around 15-20kms?

Log 150 kilometres as all of the travel was on business.

Get in your car at home log the speedo..
Drive back in the driveway log the speedo.. EG:
Date start - Finish- Reason
1/1/16 1000 - 1500- Uber
1/1/16 1500- 1520 Private
2/1/16 1520- 1620 Uber
3/1/16 1620- 1800. Uber
3/1/16 1800- 1820. Private
Do it for 3 months and the log will indicate your % of use for GST claim..
ie: Use is 74% then claim 74% of gst on fuel etc..
