You can do that but it the pay out is going to be reduced. It's 22 an hour before fees. If you're online the full 2 hours you're guaranteed to make 44 dollars before fees. If you're offline for any amount of time they will reduce the payout accordingly. Personally if I make the minimum with a few minutes to spare I'll go offline rather than take a trip with 1 minute to spare.

Got you. Thanks.

The guarantee does not show as paid until Monday. Uber sends an explanation with your time online, and if you failed on a matrix or if your earnings exceeded the guarantee amount. Also, the ping time is the recorded time stamp for calculating which hour that trip counts for. Some periods, you may not get 5 pings, so accepting 100% is the way to go when playing the guarantee game. Rider quick cancels help your acceptance rate.

Along these lines, how do you explain to Uber a less than required acceptance rating due to the application glitching (connection error after tapping to accept, or you don't get the full-size request screen and can't accept)...? I'm out on 3 hours of guaranteed pay due to this. Want to maximize my chances of getting them to pay up.

Paid hours require you to be online for those hours, which is why they require a certain acceptance %. They want you to exceed the minimum rather than ride the minimum for minimal work.
Right, I know what they want me to do...

Has anyone had success disputing not meeting the guarantee if the app wouldn't accept the request due to a connection error or some glitch?

I believe I have heard of drivers successfully arguing that point, I would try and keep pushing until they start ignorning you.

Remember, as a Select driver, your Select online hours count for the guarantee. So when you reached that 4 pax in 3 hours in under an hour, go on to your Select profile and just take Select rides for the next 2 hours. If you don't get any or much Select request, you still get paid the hourly guarantee for those extra 2 hours.

Cool, thanks! That's basically what I was planning, but wanted to ask others before starting the push back towards Uber.

Changing to my Select-only profile is exactly what I do once I hit the guarantee minimum requirements.
